From visitors: We collect standard web server logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used to monitor site performance and improve the user experience. We do not sell or share this data with third parties.

From business owners: When you claim or manage a listing, we collect your name, email address, and Internet Identity. This information is used solely to manage your business listing and communicate with you about your account.

From featured listing subscribers: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, expiration date, or CVV. We retain records of subscription status, plan type, and billing dates for accounting and customer service purposes.

From contact form submissions: If you contact us through the site, we collect your name, email address, and message. This information is used only to respond to your inquiry.

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate and improve the Breakfast Map directory
• Manage business listings and owner accounts
• Process and manage featured listing subscriptions
• Respond to inquiries and support requests
• Send transactional emails related to your account or subscription
• Monitor site security and prevent abuse

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing to third parties, or any purpose not listed above.

Breakfast Map uses session cookies to keep business owners logged in during a session. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that share your data with outside companies.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Some features of the site, such as the owner dashboard, may not function correctly without cookies enabled.

All payment processing is handled by Stripe. When you subscribe to a featured listing, you are submitting your payment information directly to Stripe's secure servers. Breakfast Map does not see, store, or have access to your full card details. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only when:

• Required to process payments (Stripe receives billing information)
• Required by law or to comply with legal obligations
• Necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Breakfast Map or its users

• Know what personal information we collect about you
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell data)

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Business listing data is retained indefinitely for directory purposes. Payment records are retained for a minimum of 7 years for accounting compliance.

Breakfast Map is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us immediately at [email protected].

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Breakfast Map after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
